At the spring workshop for the Ontario Municipal Administrators’ Association (OMAA) in Niagara-on-the-Lake, PSD and muniSERV made a joint announcement about a new partnership to bring enhanced value to members and clients of both organizations.
Municipalities have limited budgets to access external resources, like subscriptions and memberships, that bolster the capacity of municipal staff and provide valuable guidance and best practices. Through a new partnership, PSD and muniSERV will provide their respective clients and members with discounted access to expanded services, allowing municipalities to support their staff with more resources, for less.
As part of the partnership, muniSERV members can receive a 25% discount on membership to PSD’s publication ‘Public Sector Digest’, a bi-monthly digital publication featuring in-depth articles and case studies. The Digest is designed to enhance the organizational capacity of the public sector with the latest best practices and emerging frameworks in infrastructure asset management, finance and budgeting, and climate change adaptation. muniSERV members are also eligible for a 25% discount on PSD’s Municipal Grant Inventory Service (MGIS). MGIS subscribers receive weekly customized emails notifying of newly available grants, along with enterprise-wide access to the web-based municipal grant inventory, ensuring no grant opportunities are missed.
Members of the Public Sector Digest are eligible for a 25% discount on muniSERV membership – Canada’s leading online source that connects municipalities and the businesses that serve them. Municipal consultants can create a muniSERV online profile for municipalities to view, enhancing marketing efforts for the consultant in the municipal sector and allowing the consultant to find work with municipalities faster.
As a kick-off for the partnership, PSD and muniSERV recently co-hosted an open webinar on “Hiring the Right Asset Management Coordinator for your Organization” featuring expert panelists from the City of Cambridge, the Town of Fort Frances, and IC Infrastructure. Dozens of municipalities tuned in from across Canada to learn best practices in hiring in an emerging and complex area of municipal service delivery.
PSD and muniSERV invite Canada’s municipalities to engage with their organizations to see how together they can provide the greatest level of support to municipal capacity, efficiency and innovation.
